Although he said after his disastrous qualification outing that his chances were more or less in the longkang, he did go in with a proper game plan - and not just to show his face - and used his brains and the situation to his advantage. And so there he was at the end with the odd-looking trophy, listening to his national anthem.

In TODAY, Massa was reported as saying 'I went to the guy (who made the mistake) and gave him even more motivation, because we need him and we need everybody together for the last three races of the season.'
Also, it quoted the CEO of Ferrari Asia Pacific saying, 'We are achievers and we never give up... The Ferrari spirit is about competition, and we always want to win.'
The mentality of champions and the spirit of teamwork... Hope some people learn these...
Well, on Saturday, F1 reporting proved conveniently useful in hiding a piece of news that would probably draw more cheers from Singaporeans - that ERP rates were dropping at some gantries and that 5 of the 6 planned ones are not going to be built after all. F1 was on the front page and the historic ERP changes in plans were tucked somewhere in the middle of the papers.
I see it is not easy explaining why plans must be changed. The article says it 'could be' because traffic speeds have gone above 20km/h on Commonwealth Avenue, Jalan Bukit Merah, Alexandra Road and the west-bound AYE that they will now be spared the gantries.
There was no mention of public feedback or any explanation for why the speeds on these 4 roads were once below 20km/h (presumably that must have been the reason why gantries were planned there; and I wonder when that was because I have used these roads - at peak hours - and it's only below 20km/h when you are getting caught at one of the many traffic lights there...) but have magically gone above 20km/h now...
